VoiceThread Docs / Troubleshooting / Clearing the browser cache

If something’s not appearing the way that it should, you may need to clear your browser’s cache. Please look for the browser you are using below for instructions.


 

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click on the menu icon in the top-right corner of your browser (looks like a hamburger menu icon).
  2. Select “Settings.”
  3. Click on “Privacy & Security” from the list on the left.
  4. Scroll down to find “Cookies and Site Data”, and then click “Clear Data”.
  5. From “Time range to clear”, select “Everything”.
  6. Check the boxes for both “Cookies and Site Data” and “Cached Web Content”.
  7. Click “Clear”.
  8. Restart your browser.

Google Chrome

  1. Click on the menu button to the far right of the address bar (looks like 3 vertical dots).
  2. Select “Settings.”
  3. Click “Privacy and security” in the menu on the left.
  4. Click “Clear Browsing Data…”
  5. In the dialog that opens, select “All Time” in the drop-down box, and make sure that the boxes for “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files” are checked.
  6. Click “Clear data”.
  7. Restart your browser.

Safari

  1. Click on Safari in the menu bar at the top of your screen.
  2. Select “Preferences.”
  3. Click on the “Advanced” tab.
  4. Check the box next to “Show Develop menu in menu bar”.
  5. There will be a new Develop menu in the toolbar at the top of your screen. Click on “Develop” and select “Empty Caches.”
  6. Restart your browser.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click on the menu button to the far right of the address bar (looks like 3 lines).
  2. Click Settings, then Site Permissions, then Cookies and site data.
  3. Turn on “Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended)".
  4. Restart your browser.
